Harrison Kroger store to add a "Little Clinic"

HARRISON, OH (FOX19) - The Little Clinic continues to bring convenient, affordable healthcare to the Cincinnati area with the opening of a convenient care clinic inside Kroger in Harrison, 10477 Harrison Avenue. The clinic will begin taking patients on Sunday (June 5), with Grand Opening activities scheduled for the following Friday (June 10).  The company now operates 11 area clinics.

Grand opening activities at the clinic, June 10, will take place from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Refreshments, goody bags and free health screenings are planned during the event. In addition, Jordan Shipley, wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, will be on hand from 3 – 5 p.m. and will draw one winner from the entries received that day during the event for a camp spot at Jordan Shipley Football Camp, scheduled for July 21-22 at Sycamore High School. Restrictions do apply, so interested consumers should visit the clinic for details.

One-Day-Only Backyard Compost Bin and Rain Barrel Sale

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District will conduct a one-day-only backyard compost bin and rain barrel sale on Saturday, May 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the parking lots of Village Crossings in Evendale and the Green Township Administration Complex.

The event will feature FreeGarden™ compost bins and rain barrels* available for sale to Hamilton County residents only on a first come, first served basis. Compost bins will be sold at the discounted price of $35, and rain barrels will be available for $50. Compost thermometers, turners and kitchen collectors will also be available for purchase at the sale.

Cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard or Discover are accepted, while supplies last—quantities are limited!

Paper maps with sale addresses can also be obtained at the Forest Park City Municipal Building and the Main Street Market grocery store.

Springfield Antiques Show & Flea Market May Extravaganza

SPRINGFIELD, OH (FOX19) - The Springfield Antiques Show & Flea Market will hold its extravaganzas on May 20-22.  Hours will be Friday noon-6pm, Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm and Sunday 9:00am-4:00pm. Early buying will be available from 7am-noon on Friday.  Regulars at the Springfield Antiques Show and Flea Market are anxiously anticipating this May’s Extravaganzas.

The May and September Extravaganzas typically attract upward of 2,000 vendors and 20,000 shoppers and are not-to-be-missed events for thousands Antique and Flea Market fanatics from across the county. General admission in May and September will be $5.00 and $3.00 for all other months.  This long-standing market takes place at the Clark County (OH) Fairground, located next to exit 59 off I-70.

From April through November the Market will be held on third weekend of the month…with a few exceptions.

On Free Comic Book Day, over two million comic books will be given away by participating stores, introducing as many people as possible to the wonders of comic books!
