FOREST PARK, OH (FOX19) - Fifth and sixth grade students and their parents at Winton Woods Intermediate School are invited to a “Practice Testing Night” to help prepare for the Ohio Achievement Assessments in May. The event will take place on Thursday, February 16 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the school, which is located at 825 Waycross Road in Forest Park.
“Teachers and staff members will be around to assist parents and students with completing a half-length, released Ohio Achievement Assessment that will include reading, math and science,” said fifth grade Language Arts teacher Canderia Sanders-James. “A list of common mistakes and suggestions will be available so that we can work together to be sure our students do their best.”
Students and parents that participate will be invited to play a game of dodge ball against the Forest Park police and fire departments.
This event is sponsored by the WWIS Parent Café, which is designed to increase community wisdom, build parent involvement, and facilitate action to improve the lives of Winton Woods students.
