Winton Woods District Launches New Website | Schools

FOREST PARK, OH (FOX19) - Winton Woods City Schools has launched its new website with an eye toward improving the way it communicates with parents and community members, a goal that’s part of the district’s ongoing three-year strategic plan. “The new website is easier to navigate and offers communication tools not previously available to us, such as blog and video capabilities,” said Gina Burnett, communications and HR specialist for the district. “There are also a wide variety of e-communication options from essential forms to our newsletter to our online grade book.”
Director of Technology Rhonda Hobbs led the website update and acknowledges her staff for their hard work. Hobbs anticipates more national and international traffic on the site because of the district’s emphasis on global studies and its affiliation with the New Tech Network and Asia Society through the new Academy of Global Studies @ Winton Woods High School. “There are also language translation options on the site, located on the left side of the home page,” said Hobbs.
“It was time for a fresh look for the website, and the new one has a great deal of graphic appeal,” said Burnett. “The site is mobile friendly and will display nicer and be easier to navigate on a phone. Plus we were able to incorporate the district’s new logo, which represents our focus on global studies.”
The district also launched a Twitter account at the beginning of the school year and can be followed @wwcsdistrict.
