Issue 2 opponents plan announcement involving city firefighters

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The group We Are Ohio, which is opposing SB5, (Issue 2 on Ohio's fall ballot) says it will hold a press conference at 10:00 am Friday in Cincinnati to make a major campaign announcement.

The event is said to involve firefighters being held at the headquarters of Cincinnati Fire Fighters Local 48.

Recently, We Are Ohio and Hamilton firefighters went door-to-door in Hamilton to oppose Issue 2, the ballot version of Ohio's SB5, which limits what issues local governments and their workers can negotiate in collective bargaining.

The issue was put on the ballot after opponents got enough signatures to force a statewide public vote.
