CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Jordan Schmidt made the All Tournament Team at the GGCL Bowling Championship which took place on January 13 at Colerain Bowl. She was one of six bowlers who received this honor. Her three game score was a 513 which put her in fourth place overall. The Seton Varsity team finished in third place overall.
“Bowling at Seton has helped me build a lot of self confidence. I am looking forward to finishing the year out strong with all of my team mates”
Team mate is a term taken very seriously by Jordan who is known on and off the team as caring and dedicated young woman. Earlier this year her team mate shared that her father had been diagnosed with cancer. The entire student body took to supporting and praying for her and her family, Jordan took supporting her team mate to the next level. As a part of her Senior Project she has planned a Bowling Benefit in support of her friend and her family.
“I have lost family members to cancer, I wanted to help in some way. I love bowling so I thought I could help my friend.”
The Bowling Benefit will be held at Western Bowl on Glenway Avenue on April 17, 2013. Proceeds will benefit the family to offset medical costs. Jordan Schmidt has committed to attend and bowl for Northern Kentucky University next fall.
