Toddler dies after being hit by car | News

WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) -New information about a crash in Westwood.

Police tell FOX19 a three-year-old hit by a car has died from injuries suffered in the crash.

Police say a female driver lost control of her car around 4:45 on McHenry, crossed the center line, jumped the curb and hit a woman and her three small children who were walking on the sidewalk.  The car also hit a hydrant and ended up coming to a rest on the other side of the roadway.

Investigators have also revised the ages of the children. They are five, three, and one, but police are not saying whether they are boys or girls.

The woman and other two kids are in the hospital at this hour. The driver is charged with OVI but other charges are possible.

McHenry is shut down in both directions as police investigate.
