DELHI TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19)- An elderly man was struck by a car while walking in front of Wendy's in Delhi on Friday afternoon.
Authorities say 70-year-old Gordon Bailey was hit in the 5000 block of Delhi Pike and thrown onto the hood of the vehicle.
Officers say Bailey was not crossing in a designated area.
Police say Bailey rode about 50 feet on top of the hood before the vehicle stopped and he was thrown about 10 feet.
Bailey was carrying groceries and fast food at the time of the crash.
He was taken to University Hospital by ambulance where he was treated for a leg and hip injury.
Police say the driver won't face any charges because Bailey wasn't using a crosswalk.
