CINCINNATI (FOX19) – A Cincinnati police officer has been charged with burglary and felonious assault this week while awaiting trial in an assault case from May involving the same victim.
Court filings say 27-year-old Officer Kevin Jones, who lives in Colerain Township, talked his way into the apartment of Megan Thomas of Mount Airy, got in a fight with her, pushed her head into a brick wall, leaving her unconscious, then took her cell phone and fled. Both charges are felonies.
A month ago, Jones was charged with physically assaulting Thomas and another woman. That misdemeanor case is still going through the court system.
