3 arrested, 1 still on the run following burglary

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Three suspects are in police custody and another one is on the run following a burglary in Colerain Township.

Around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, officers were called to Wilson Drive for a report of a burglary. When the first officer arrived, four male suspects were seen fleeing from the back of the residence. The officer gave chase with help from the Forest Park K9 officers, and apprehended one suspect.

Two more suspects were located a few hours later.

Police have charged Cortez Williams, 18, of Colerain Township, Cheston Brenner, 23, of Colerain Township and Danyel Jones, 22, of Avondale with burglary and obstructing official business.

Innocent motorist shot on Winton Road

FOREST PARK, OH (FOX19) - Two teenagers are in Hamilton Juvenile Detention today, accused of shooting an innocent passerby while they were trying to shoot someone else.

The incident happened Thursday night on Forest Park's busiest road, Winton Road, near Kemper Meadow.  The suspects were on the west side of the road.  Police say they had had some kind of altercation going on with a person in a southbound car.  They started shooting, and the person they hit was someone they didn't know, who was driving northbound.

That person was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not released the names of anyone involved.

The pair of teens was quickly found and arrested.  They are charged with Felonious Assault and other weapons related charges.

Police investigate early-morning robbery at Walgreens

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Hamilton County sheriff's deputies are investigating an early-morning robbery at the Walgreens on Colerain Avenue.

The suspect came in around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday morning, approached the clerk, implied that he had a gun and demanded cigarettes and beer.

He left the store in an unknown direction with approximately 60 packs of Newport cigarettes and a 12-pack of Coors Light.

The suspect is described as a 6 feet tall, black male in his early 40's, about 200 pounds, wearing a blue jean heavy winter coat and blue jean pants.

Canine units were called in but he is still on the loose at this time.

The incident is still under investigation.

Police: Couple stole over 30 sewer grates

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Cleves couple is behind bars for a series of sewer grate thefts.

Patricia Grimsley, 22, and Thomas Coyne, 24, both of Cleves, were arrested Monday night when police caught them stealing sewer grates from Vegas Metals on SR 128 in Whitewater Township.

When deputies arrived, the couple fled the area and were later apprehended after they had discarded the grates at a nearby location.

Further investigation determined 15 sewer grates had been stolen from the Village of Cleves, two from the village of North Bend, 11 from Whitewater Township, seven from Miami Township, and an attempted theft of a sewer grate occurred in Colerain Township.

All of the sewer grates were recovered. Grimsley is charged with four counts of theft and one count of attempted theft. Coyne was charged with one count of receiving stolen property.

Police: Suspects responsible for at least 4 other burglaries

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police say two people who were arrested for burglarizing a Colerain Township home are also responsible for at least four other burglaries in the area.

A neighbor reported seeing two people running from a home in the 2500 block of Washington Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

Police learned that a U-Haul rental truck was involved, and a Mount Healthy police officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description.

When officers searched the U-Haul, they found a TV and a laptop computer that had been stolen from the residence.

Police arrested Brian Hollingsworth, 26, of Mount Healthy, and Marcia Ann Powell, 38, of Hamilton. Police learned that a warrant was out for Hollingsworth for the burglary of a home in the 2800 block Regal Lane on Oct.

Police look for suspect wanted in at least two robberies

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati Police are looking for a man wanted for at least two robberies.

At about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night, police say a suspect took two cartons of cigarettes and attempted to take a 6 pack of beer from Shell Oil in the 9700 block of Colerain Avenue. When he was confronted by the clerk, he struck her in the jaw and head and when she fell to the ground, kicked her. The clerk refused treatment at the scene. The suspect fled on food toward Niagara.

Police say the same suspect took a 12-pack of beer from the CVS in the 11600 block of Hamilton Avenue. In that incident, he attempted to grab the manager's arm when he tried to stop him from taking cigarettes.

The suspect is described as a black male, 40 to 50 years old, 5'9" to 5'10" and wearing a black Carhartt jacket, black work pants with colored patterned pockets on the rear, a black knit cap, glasses and black shoes.

Mom accused of beating son with extension cord

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Winton Woods mother is facing charges after police say she beat her 9-year-old son with an extension cord.

Terrigela Jones, 37, is charged with one count of child endangering.

Police say Jones caused welts and bruises on the boy when she hit him with the cord. She also allegedly threw him down a flight of 12 steps, causing him to strike his head on a door.

Jones was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
