MIAMI TOWNSHIP, HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - International Observe the Moon Night is Saturday, October 8th from 7 - 11 pm at the Cincinnati Astronomical Society.
That night amateur and professional astronomers from all around the globe celebrate our only natural satellite with free stargazes for young and old.
Drop by the CAS observatories between 7 and 11 pm for spectacular views of the Moon, Jupiter and other celestial treasures.
Volunteers will be on hand to answer all your astronomical questions and guide you across the constellations. Bring your own telescope for expert help setting it up and starting your own personal exploration of the heavens. Visit observethemoon.org to download your own moon map, family activities and teacher’s guides.
The Cincinnati Astronomical Society is at 5274 Zion Road near Mitchell Memorial Forest in Miami Township northeast of Cleves.
For those on the east side of town, another event is at the Cincinnati Observatory.
